- Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.
Soft washing consumes just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't wear down or harm the surface like power washing often can. Soft washing also does a lot more than pressure washing because it does more than just clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System do not simply clean; they penetrate, sterilize, and get rid of the root of the issue.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the combination of safe, eco-friendly chemicals make sure that the bacteria that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but removed entirely.
Roof Cleaning and More
Soft washing can be performed on a wide range of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that causes black streaks on roofs can also grow on:
- Vinyl Siding
- And more…
If you're trying to find a way to get rid of what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of annoying pressure washing and use an option that can remove the problem 100%.
Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, people hesitate when they hear the word "chemicals," but it's really not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals utilized in soft washing aid in the break down of pollutants and infestations, so they can be easily washed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days of their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Main Reasons to SoftWash
There are plenty of reasons to select soft washing over pressure or power washing, however here are our biggest reasons:
- Substitute for pressure washing
Pressure washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened up by decay or aging. It may be suitable for some projects and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your house isn't just dirty – it's contaminated. Normal power washing merely gets rid of the outer layer of this biomass and does not solve the root of the issue, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after power washing is completed.
- No damage from pressure
Poorly trained or unskilled pressure washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, particularly if it's older to begin with.
- More sustainable cleaning method
Power washers use from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of washing a pressure washer can utilize from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing just uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is made up of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than pressure washing. Making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
